Jonathan Peterson's Task Force is one of two primary antagonist factions in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Special Ops, a custom first-person shooter game.

Overview[]

Jonathan Peterson's Task Force was first constructed in 2009 as a strictly-American top secret reconnaissance battallion lead by General Jonathan Peterson. The Task Force was given permission for construction by the United States Armed Forces. Peterson's Task Force was responsible for the assassination attempt of Captain Kyle "Virus" Pierson, Captain Michael "Scorch" Williams, Lieutenant Tyrone "Worm" Johnson, and Sergeant Andrew "Jayhawk" Six, all of whom were part of a Special Ops unit sent to Laos to retrieve an American doctor, Joshua Gibson, in 2010. After the failed rescue and escape from the Hong Kong Gang and Russian Spetsnaz, the two remaining Special Ops soldiers, Pierson and Williams, were attacked by Peterson's Task Force and the Navy SEALs. The Task Force and the Navy SEALs failed to eliminate the two men, and Pierson and Williams went into hiding in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is unknown why Peterson wanted the Special Ops soldiers dead.

Composition[]

Jonathan Peterson's Task Force, in 2010, was a strictly-American recon unit that carried out top secret missions in the Middle East, Russia, Europe, and South East Asia. Peterson's Task Force was comprised of U.S. Army Rangers, U.S. Marines, U.S. Navy and Army pilots, Central Intelligence Agency agents, and even U.S. Coast Guardsmen. Notable members of the Task Force include General Jonathan Peterson and Hayley Reyman (as of 2009-2010).
