The Special Ops unit was responsible for classified missions all over the world. One notable mission occured in Laos, in which Captain Kyle "Virus" Pierson, Captain Michael "Scorch" Williams, Lieutentant Tyrone "Worm" Johnson, and Sergeant Andrew "Jayhawk" Six were sent to rescue Doctor Joshua Gibson, who was captured by the Hong Kong Gang. The four Special Ops soldiers were able to make it into the Hong Kong Gang's compound. However, when Pierson reached the doctor, a Gang member shot and killed him. Pierson, Williams, Johnson, and Six were ambushed when they escaped, and Six was killed and Johnson was presumed killed. Later, Pierson and Williams stole one of the Hong Kong Gang's helicopters. When General Jonathan Peterson heard of this, he sent his Task Force and the Navy SEALs to eleminate them. Eventually the two fled to Johannesburg.
